

Harry T. Steiner, 87, of Lebanon died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the Late Mary Maxine Saul Steiner and the late Margaret Wilson Steiner. He was born in Lebanon on September 17, 1923, son of the late Charles F. W. Steiner and the late Violet Schaeffer Steiner. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during WWII and was a civilian for 3 years in Pearl Harbor prior to the war. After serving his country he retired as a truck driver for various companies and was a private car salesman in North Carolina. Harry attended Faith Fellowship Church, Lebanon and was a volunteer with Lebanon Christian Ministries Meals-on-Wheels. He enjoyed listening to rock n’ roll and country music. He loved dancing particularly the jitterbug, going fishing and spending time at the Navy Club. Harry was a very personable man and was loved by all. He is survived by five brothers: Lewis Sowers and wife Emma, Hummelstown; Harold Steiner and wife Jean, Palmyra, Lester Steiner and wife Lucy, Lebanon; Paul Steiner, Lebanon; Wayne Steiner and wife Judie, Lebanon; four sisters: Sarah Moyer, Lebanon; Sylvia wife of Boyd Felty, Lebanon; Anna Kapp, Lebanon; Catherine Beaton, Palmyra; two step-daughters: Sandra wife of Bill Catlett, NC; Phyllis Overby, NC and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles, Allen and Edward Steiner and his step-son Roy Hodge. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon where a viewing will begin at 3:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Ridge View Cemetery located in Eden, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy of Lebanon Co., PO Box 611, Lebanon, PA 17042 in honor of Marina Sholly.
