June Ellen “Peach” McAllister, of Lebanon, passed away September 26 2024, at the age of 90. She was born May 16 1934 to William H. McAllister and Katherine Irene McAllister (née Diehm). An employee of the Avon Shoe Factory for many years, June was highly active with her churches, Covenant and then Hebron United Methodist, and passionate in her faith, leading her family in prayers and travelling with the church. She was an excellent student and enjoyed history. She loved walking in town, talking with her neighbors, reading, and caring for her cats Tom-Tom and Tammy. June is survived by her sister Shirley Allwein, nieces Debra Rudy (wife of Barry) and Susan Kreiser (wife of Michael), nephews David Allwein (husband of Tammy) and Donald Daub (husband of Kathy), as well as several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Daub and Mary Jane Gross, and nephew Richard Fake (husband of Susan). June’s funeral service will be held Thursday October 3 at 11:00 am at Rohland Funeral Home, preceded by a public viewing October 3 from 10:00 – 11:00 am, and followed by interment at Covenant Greenwood Cemetery at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, funeral contributions may be made to Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N Ramona Rd, Myerstown PA 17067.
