Lorraine M. Smith

Lorraine M. Smith, 84, of Cornwall Manor, formerly of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Smith who passed away in 1994. She was born in Lebanon on June 25, 1928, daughter of the late Victor and Lillian Siegrist Artz. She was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon High School and retired in 1997 as a logistics officer for the U.S. Army at IGMR. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Lebanon. Lorraine is survived by her sons: Michael L. Smith and wife Lois, Lebanon; William H. Smith and wife Debra A. Lewis, Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister: Sandra wife of Gary Schauer, Lebanon; brother: Ralph Artz and wife Colleen, Myerstown and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Reynold “Gus”Artz, husband of Carol,Ebenezer. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am in the Grace United Church of Christ, 1000 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers contributions in Lorraine’s name may be made to her church.
