Sara “Sussy” Schneider, 98, Rockville, MD formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday February 10, 2026 in the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington. She was the wife of the late Dr. Martin Schneider. Sara was born in Lebanon on May 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lena Smeyne Levitz. She was an active member and former President of Beth Israel Synagogue and was active in Hadassah and the Beth Israel Sisterhood, along with several community organizations. Sara is survived by children: Wendy Schneider-Levinson; Terry Schneider; Daughter-in-law: Laura Newton; Granddaughters: Galya and Ariana Levinson; Niece: Debbie Kessler. Funeral services will be Friday February 13, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be in the Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Congregation Beth Israel (congregation-beth-israel.org/support/) or Hadassah (hadassah.org/donate).
