A devoted husband, Allan was married to the love of his life, Joanne Mary Meeks (Rodier), with whom he shared five children: Jennifer, Jessica, Joseph, Joshua and Jeffrey. Their bond was unshakable, but when Joanne passed in 2016, Allan endured the deepest grief of his life. Though it was difficult, the memories of the life they built together gave him the strength and determination to carry on.
Allan was a carpenter by trade and by heart. He spent his life building many things with his hands, crafting not just from wood, but also he loved to tinker with cars, working with leather, and often practicing his rope making skills too. His work was a reflection of his character—steady, humble, and enduring.
In his later years, Allan found solace and purpose in walking. When the pandemic kept the world at home, Allan laced up his shoes and walked—mile after mile—ultimately logging billions of steps over three years. It became one of his proudest accomplishments, and a testament to his determination and spirit.
Allan will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his perseverance in the face of loss, and his ability to keep moving forward no matter the challenges life placed in his path.
Gone but never forgotten, Allan will be dearly missed by his children, his many grandchildren, and all those who loved him.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, in St. Michaels Catholic Church, 5105 45a St, Leduc, AB.
