

Audrey, a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, our family pillar of strength, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 86 years old.
Audrey will be forever missed by her best friend and husband of 69 years, John.
Her legacy will live on through her son, Brad (Brenda); daughters: Cheryl (Keith) and Kim (Perry); grandchildren: Clint (Jodie), Janine, Dustin (Alyson), Lindsey (Dustin), Chelsie (Justin), Taylor (Niki); and great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Ryleigh, Kayton, Aubrey, Ariah, Hayden, Lawson, Rae, Savi, Beau and Brody.
Also left to cherish her memory are her brother, Tom (Lille); brothers- in -law: Doug, Hip (Anna); sisters in law: Janet, Patricia, Pat, Lena (Allan), and of course, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Keith and Edna Thompson; brother Delbert; sisters, Beryl and Lee; Father/Mother-in-law, Tjasse and Abram Lena; brothers in law, Auke, Harry, Rank, Chester, George; and sisters in law, Aukja and Sheila.
Audrey was born and raised in Dixonville, Alberta then moved to Reinwood with John after they were married in September 1956. There, they raised their 3 children, grain farmed and later raised bison in partnership with Brad. Throughout her life, Audrey enjoyed gardening, berry picking, curling, square dancing, hiking, skiddooing, golfing, camping, travelling as well as spending time with their 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Later in life, John and Audrey bought a home in Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed their winters as well as a home in Leduc where they spent their retirement.
We will be bringing Mom home to the Peace Country with her Celebration of Life being held at the Deadwood Community Hall in Deadwood, Alberta, on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 11:00 am.
