

Chris was born February 28, 1958, in Fort Smith NWT where her parents were working. She was raised on the family farm at Lac La Biche the only sister among four younger brothers. She enjoyed gardening, sports, spending time with school friends, extended family, and neighbours. Chris had also had a lifelong love of animals and cared for many pets throughout her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her partner Wayne; her daughters: Stacey, Kelly, and Lindsay; and her grandchildren: Odele, Owen and Morgan. Chris is also survived by her brothers: George, Dennis, Robert (Wanda), Gord (Michelle); many nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles and extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert L’Heureux (2003) and Joan L’Heureux (2013).
Throughout her working years in Edson and Leduc, she held a variety of positions, but her true calling was as a Health Care Aid. She excelled in caring for others, forming meaningful connections with her clients and finding great fulfillment in helping those in need.
Chris loved to travel, exploring many provinces across Canada and destinations throughout the USA with her trailer while visiting family and discovering new places. She also enjoyed international travel, making several trips to Cuba, visiting Mexico, and taking an unforgettable journey thru Russia, Mongolia and China.
Chris will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by all whose lives she touched. The family extends heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Chris during the last few years of her life. Your kindness, care and compassion made a meaningful difference each day.
A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, on July 25, 2026, at the Best Western Denham Inn & Suites, 5207 50th Ave, Leduc, AB T9E6V6.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Christina’s name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
