Denise Elaine Seib

6 April , 196119 January , 2019

Denise Elaine Seib, age 57, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in her home in Thorsby, AB due to an undiagnosed heart condition.

She was born on April 6, 1961 in Edmonton, AB to Elmer and Arlene Stevenson, graduated from Leduc Composite High School in 1979 and married husband, Darrell Seib, on December 26, 1987.

Denise was a beautiful and creative soul whose boundless compassion, unwavering composure and critical thinking enabled her to excel in anything she put her mind to. She was many things to many people but the most noteworthy are: devoted daughter, loving wife, steadfast friend, dedicated employee, selfless leader, doting grandmother and amazing mom. She worked at iconic Leduc locales such as the Leduc Inn, Denham Inn, Edmonton International Airport and even Costco, as well as countless hours of volunteer work through the Parent Teacher Associations of her children’s schools. Baking, scrapbooking, gardening and travelling were her passions, and it is hoped that her newest journey is filled with wonder and peace.

Denise is survived by father Elmer, husband Darrell, daughters Nicole (Nathan) Froning and Miranda, son Nash and granddaughter Lucy Froning. She was predeceased by mother Muriel Arlene Stevenson.

The family will be hosting an informal celebration of Denise’s life at Telford House in Leduc, AB on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2pm to 6pm. Please feel free to stop in for some refreshment and shared memories of an unforgettable woman.

In lieu of flowers, because, like Denise her daughters are allergic, please make a donation in her name to the children’s charity of your choosing.

Dear Darrell:
We are so sorry that your family lost Denise so suddenly. Even though we did not get a chance to see each other often, I remember her sweetness, how interested she was in so many different things, and how interested she was in others. We always had such nice visits. Hold on tight to each other as you look back on all of your good memories and we hope it helps just a little to know we are all thinking about you!
Sending our love,
Carmen, Rick, Luke and Hannah

Dear Darrell and family,
Though I met Denise only a few times at our Seib family reunions it was a pleasure to visit with her. She was very interested in family and it was obvious she cared deeply for her family. By all accounts she was a wonderful mother. You were so blessed to have her as a faithful loving mate Darrell. I know you will miss her more than words can say. Try to focus on the good times, good memories, and make the best of the dear family you still have with you.
Love your Aunt Carole

I am heart broken at the loss of such a warm, caring, kind and loving lady. Denise was always cheerful and a pleasure to work with and I was lucky to have known her when we were younger and to have reconnected when we started working together at Costco. I will miss her presence in this life. Her love for her family was so evident in the many conversations we had as she loved to share each and every accomplishment, big or small, with pride. May you all find comfort in this difficult time. May the love of your family and friends wrap you in healing. 💕💕💔 Rest easy my friend, you may be gone from our sight but you will always be in our hearts.

A high school friend. Denise was the prettiest girl in our class, and her beauty was inside and out. She was caring and friendly with everyone. We lost touch after graduation except for a chance meeting a few years later, when I told her that my oldest daughter had been named for her, for all the reasons I just described. Rest in Peace, Denise. ❤

To Darrell, Nicole, Nathan, Miranda Nash and Lucy

Denise was a lovely, positive and giving person, I can only imagine the loss you must all be experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and as you move forward.
