It was a pleasure to say a few words at Doug's Celebration of Life.  But one cannot say enough.  Doug, we miss you.  It was a true honor to know you and to work with you.  Your generous spirit, your incredible work ethic, your hilarious prankster ways, and your deep love of and commitment to team was evident each and every day.  It just isn't the same without you.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Doug for the last six years and over that time came to know him as a friend. Doug was like having a dad at work who would constantly fix and solve any little problems that were thrown my way, whether it be with his tools or his sense of humour. I will miss our chats, and ultimately his laugh. He had a huge heart and my prayers and thoughts go out to his family. He will be missed.

I will miss Doug greatly for he taught me one great lesson - Do your best and all will fall in line.A great mentor and full of valuable advice! Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him O Lord and let the Perpetual light Shine on him.Amen

Doug was an amazing person, who brought a smile to everyone in the halls of our school. He was so valuable to our school community and will be sorely missed.

Doug has left a legacy of caring and concern for students, parents, community and anyone else who set foot on the Alberta School for the Deaf property. Thanks for caring so much. That spirit can never be erased. Rest easy.

I worked at the school where Doug worked. He was always so kind, and was always happy to help out wherever it was needed. He dealt with my many requests with endless patience and good cheer! I will truly miss seeing him around and chatting with him, and was so saddened to hear of his passing. Condolences in this difficult time- but know that he made the lives of his co-workers better and brighter every day. Thanks Doug for everything.

Doug, it was a pleasure and an honour to have worked with you over these few short years. A true gentleman, filled with knowledge, patience and kindness. I will miss you; rest in peace.

Sorry to see you go Douggie.  Thanks for keeping me company on those long walks through that big school.  I will never forget you.
