

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sylvia (Duane) Rowles and Cheryl (Leslie) Freeman; her daughter-in-law, Shelly Dion; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Miles.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, May and Charles Albrecht; her sisters, Violet and Geraldine; her son, Don; and her former spouse, Lawrence.
A dedicated elementary school teacher for 35 years, Evelyn touched the lives of countless students with her patience, creativity, and gentle spirit. She was also a talented artist, specializing in oils and watercolors—many of her beautiful paintings continue to be treasured by family members.
Evelyn loved to dance and had a deep appreciation for travel. She possessed an inquisitive mind and a lifelong love of learning. Evelyn led quietly by example, teaching those around her the values of kindness, hard work, and honesty.
Above all, Evelyn’s greatest joy was her family. Her face would light up whenever she saw her loved ones walk through the door, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments, big and small. Her love and encouragement will continue to be felt in the lives of those she nurtured so deeply.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in St. Michael Catholic Church 5105 45a St, Leduc, AB.
