Gordy was born in Edmonton on August 15, 1942, to Valtin and Hannah Reiser. He married Edna Bodnar in 1965, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. Most of their married years, they resided in Rolly View and Wetaskiwin, then retired to the City of Leduc in 2014.
Gordy will be remembered for his quiet strength, strong work ethics, kind heart, and steady devotion to those he loved. Gordy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Edna; children, Darcy (Pam), Jayson (George), and Angela (Cory); and his grandchildren, Desiree (Jarrod), Mason (Jess), Connor and Camren.
A Funeral Service will be held in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 30-49402 Range Road 234, Rolly View, AB, T4X 0Y1, on September 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Manor in Gordy’s memory.
