Sherry, Keith & family,   So sorry for your loss.   May you find comfort in all your memories of an amazing mother and grandmother.

Sherry and Phil and families:   My most sincere condolences on hearing of the passing of Jean.  This news has stirred some very happy memories of long ago.
Jean was a true and supportive friend of my Mom and was truly a second mother to me during a few of my early years in Thorsby. She took care of me while my Mom and Dad ran the cafe. I have clear memories of the old house and even more of the times spent at the lake. Jean respected and listened to me as adults seldom do with little kids. She let me run as far and as wild as a 5 or 6 year old could and I remember her saying she trusted my common sense. She simply made me feel like a real person and I loved her for that. Jean so graciously welcomed everyone to share at her table and it was always a feast, even early on at the lake when she was cooking on the wood stove and heating basins of water from the outside tap to do the dishes. Over the years I thought of all these thing and they continued to amaze and inspire me.   
I know that the last many years have been difficult but Jean is now resting.  I hope that as a family you can all relax together, gather at a table and share laughter and happy stories. My heart is with you. Jo Acampora

Sherry and family,
Your Mom was such a nice lady. She was always very kind to us and all the people who ever came to the lake.  I am sure we all have great memories of your mom feeding everyone, enjoying our dogs she truly seemed to  like talking to all of us.
You were her little girl and she was so proud of you, I remember going to your home and she was holding Cam when she came to the door and she was not going to let me hold Cam till you said it was okay. What a great grandma!
It has been a hard path, I know your Mom would be so proud of you Keith and the boys you brought a tremendous  amount of joy to her life!
Love to you Keith, Cam, Ryan , Jordan and your brother and his family especially Julia who wa so kind to introduce us to McSorley's!

To Phil and Sherry, Lorraine, Keith and all the family.  What a very touching collection of pictures you’ve shared, to show, just a glimpse, of what your mom and dads life was all about, filled with a loving family, many friends and a such great memories.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  Jean, Mrs Hamula, will live on forever,  in all of our hearts, for what she was, a wonderful, kind and a very special lady.  Our thoughts are with you and your whole family.
