John Paul Lessard

John faced tremendous health challenges following complications from surgery over the past two years. Despite the difficult road placed before him, he fought courageously with remarkable strength, determination, and dignity. His will to live and his love for his family carried him through countless hardships and inspired everyone around him.

Beloved husband of Jackie Lessard, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage with, devoted father of Jeff (Christine) Lessard and Michelle Lessard, and proud grandfather to Alyssa and Brayden, John leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, kindness, and faith.

John was a master craftsman in carpentry and was especially talented as a cabinet maker. Over the course of more than 40 years in the trade, he built not only beautiful work with his hands, but also lasting friendships with many people whose lives he touched through his craftsmanship, work ethic, and generosity.

He was deeply loved not only by his family and close friends, but also by his musical family and all those whose lives he touched over the years. Whether through music, conversation, laughter, or quiet support, he had a way of making people feel welcomed and valued. His presence brought comfort and strength to many.

John is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Ted, Emile (Judy), Lucille (Jim), Cecile (John), and Bernadette.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Zelia Lessard, and by his siblings Lionel, Gilbert, Donald, George, and Emily.

Though our hearts are broken by this loss, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and free from suffering.

He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by all who knew and loved him. The family asks for continued prayers during this difficult time.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in St. Vital Catholic Church 4905 50 St, Beaumont, AB, with interment to follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that those wishing to offer support may do so directly to the family to assist with funeral expenses and related costs during this difficult time.
