Judith “Judy” Koellnar Walsh Sindelar, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 30, 2025, after a sudden heart attack on November 29, 2025. She was born in October 1943 in Fort Madison, Iowa, and her family back in the States still lovingly calls her Judith, the name they’ve known her by all their lives. But to those who knew her day-to-day, she was simply “Judy,” the name that felt most like her.
Judy had a very active life, balancing her love for quilting, crocheting, and gardening. During the day, she managed her company—her husband’s office—and, of course, her husband, keeping everything running smoothly. Judy had a remarkable gift for getting things done. If someone had a problem, the answer was always, “Ask Judy.” If something went missing, “Ask Judy.” Judy had a wall full of appreciation awards for the help she provided to clubs and associations that recognized her efforts.
Judy will be missed by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Lambert W. Sindelar; her children, Dave, Diane, Curt, and Carlene; her four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and all her friends.
Judy thoughtfully planned her arrangements in advance—true to her “Ask Judy” nature—ensuring everything would be carried out just as she wished. She chose to be cremated and provided clear guidance on how her ashes should be handled. In keeping with her private nature, she requested that no funeral or formal services be held in her honor.
