It is with extreme sadness that the family of Margaret Pearson announces her passing after living a beautiful life of 91 years.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son, Merrill (Beverly) and their children Ashley (Chad) Dettmer and Duncan (Jessica) Pearson and grandchildren Harper & Bentley Dettmer and Avry & Greta Pearson. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Larry Stettner and grandson, Kevin (Sharon) Stettner.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Walter and her daughter, Marlaine Stettner. Margaret was the youngest child in her family and was predeceased by all her siblings - brothers Willy, Erik, Paul, & Ewalt Oldenburg and sisters Edith Grunert, Emma Ollenberg, and Freida McLeod.
She led a full life on the Pearson Family Farm northwest of Calmar and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, and taking care of her family.
Our family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Salem Manor for their compassionate care of Margaret.
Due to COVID, a private ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 18th. Margaret will be laid to rest at the Calmar Cemetery.
