Maria was born in Andrychow Poland, the 5th of 7 children. She immigrated to Canada in 1972 and started working in Edmonton. She was married in 1973 and moved to the Penkala Farm near St. Francis AB where she enjoyed raising her family, helping with all the farming, gardening, sewing, and visiting with neighbours. Maria had a kind and loving heart, a generous spirit and a great sense of humour. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandsons.
Maria will be lovingly remembered by her Son Peter, daughter Christeen (Edward) and grandsons Owen and Stephen.
Maria was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Joe (2022) and her infant daughter Magnolin (1975). A private service was held August 31, 2023 with the internment of ashes to follow at a later date
