Mrs. Marilyn Arlene Monaghan

Born in Thorsby, Alberta, to parents Alf and Helga Hoyem, Marilyn was especially close to her grandmother, Rebekka Hoyem, as a child. She loved music and singing in her youth and her interests grew to include flowers, gardening and excellence in homemaking.

Marilyn cherished spending time with family and friends, and was known for “keeping in touch” with phone calls and personal notes/cards. Marilyn had a deep spirituality that sustained her in life and to the end.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Tim (Juvy), Terry and Penni (Rob); her beloved grandchildren: Mark (Caeleigh), Scott (Kim), Vance, Arden and Gabrielle; as well as numerous family members and friends.

Marilyn was predeceased by her loving husband William; parents Alf and Helga; brother Eldon; sister in law Shirley; and sister Susan.

A private family interment will be held in early May 2025
