Roy Nerdahl

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Alice Nelson, and by his four children: Joyce (Ray), Brian (Norma), David (Shari), and Tim (Shirley). He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Ray, Daniel, Christopher, Joslyn, Collin, Juli, Trevor, Casey and Claire and thirteen great grandchildren: Nayana, Phoenix, Caelem, Emma, Oakland, Gideon, Piper, Kai, Evelyn, Elowyn, Anika, Teddy and Estelle, each of whom brought him great joy.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Elaine in 2015, his brother Norman in 2017, and his grandson Tore in 2014.

Roy was a man of deep faith, which guided him through his life and gave him strength in difficult times. He spent his entire career working for TransAlta Utilities in various positions. Roy was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, golfing and camping.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert for their compassionate care during his last days.

At Roy’s request, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Leduc Community Baptist Church, 3205 Coady Blvd., Leduc, Alberta T9E 7J9
