Ryan Hartz

From the very first day, Ryan brought an incredible light, warmth and joy into the world. He was a beloved and loyal son and a truly remarkable soul who left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

Ryan had a deep passion for being a tractor trailer truck driver and loved the long hauls from Edmonton to Fort Nelson. Ryan also had a passion for warehouse organization and contributed that knowledge to grocery warehouses, in particular, GFS, where he was presented with various awards for his contribution. He loved cooking, fishing, camping, water sports, music and building models. He also had an unending love for all animals and was constantly surrounded by cats.

Ryan approached life with a sense of adventure and fierce curiosity. He loved to take things apart just to see how they worked. He was a kind, compassionate, gentle person who was generous to a fault. He had a booming laugh, keen memory, was fun loving and found happiness in simple moments. Whether he was spinning his fire staff for everyone at the lake, playing cards, games or simply sharing his bright perspective with others, his presence made everyone’s lives infinitely richer.

As one of Ryan’s cousins stated, “I’ll always remember his laughter. He had a great laugh, and I can still remember his giggles as a kid. Ryan had a truly genuine outlook on life, with a perspective and spirit that made him unique. He was a very happy go lucky guy, which made life so much fun!”

He is survived by his loving parents, Terry and Glenna, numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2027.
