It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tyler Pawlick of Thorsby, AB, on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Tyler was born on January 4, 1985 in Edmonton, Alberta. Ty was raised in Thorsby on his parent’s dairy/grain farm, where he resided until his passing. Ty was a big man with an even bigger heart and smile. Tyler went to elementary school in Thorsby, and then finished high school in Leduc. After school, Ty started his work in the oilfield. He worked for Trinidad for a few years and was currently employed with Nabors Drilling, working outside of Fort St. John, BC. Ty’s true calling was not only working in the oil patch, he was a farmer, true to heart. He made time to farm. You could always find him out in the field working through the night. He was always the guy that was there to do the dirty work. You could always find him out “crop checking” with his buddy, his dad.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Laurence Pawlick, of Thorsby, Shelley Pawlick, of Edmonton, his brother Jordan Pawlick, , his sister Keiley Burnett and her husband Preston Burnett, all of Thorsby, his baba, Anna Pawlick, of Leduc, his Grandma Lynn Dalke or Pincher Creek, AB and his beloved dog Toby. Ty is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many friends. Tyler was predeceased by his grandfathers, John Pawlick, Marvin Dalke, David Thompson, his grandmother Madeline Thompson, and his cousin Lindsay Chow. Tyler will forever be remembered in everyone’s hearts as the big guy who loved kids and animals. Rest in Peace.
Funeral services are to be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Calmar, Alberta. Very Reverend Sergey Kipriyanovich officiating
