Has been almost 8 yrs since the world has been without one of its funniest people. Not a day goes by my friend when you don't enter my thoughts. I found an old pic taken mid 90s I think of you and Lora at Randle Park. 
1 day you and I will be racing once again my friend.

I just heard of Verns passing this week and I was at a loss for words. I was reunited with Vern just when he began his job at Kinosis and was thrilled to see him again. Vern was an amazingly caring man! His humor set him apart! His love for his family was so prevalent with the sparkle in his eyes when he spoke of them. I wished I would have known and been able to attend his service--Vern the world was a brighter place with your smile and heart....heaven is one angel richer :) Ride the golden highway on your bike my comrade...your spirit is free! To all his family my sincerest condolences!

Darrow just informed me of Vern's untimely and sad passing. I got to know Vern while working for Fort Mckay Enterprises at the Suncor Firebag site.  Vern was a wonderful person to work with.  My prayers are with all of you.

Vern heaven has a new angel of mercy now. You were one of the ones who faced others misery head on. From the back of an Ambulance to a being on the fire truck you made a difference. I'm so proud to have known you for as long as I did. Will miss you brother. Always your friend... Dale

 I miss you big time my friend, this world grew a little grayer with your passing. You my friend were the funniest person I have ever known. We had a lot of great times and I looked so forward to having so many more, but we all got cheated. I just hope that you will hold a place in your 70 Chevrolet on the other side so that we can once again do a little gear banging. I Love You Man. Not a day will go by that I will not think of you. Rest easy my Friend.

I will always remember Vern for his sense of humor and his ability to lighten up a room just by walking in. He was a wonderful man and I am thankful to have known him and enjoy a few coffees and chats with both Vern and Lora. He may be gone, but will never be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy sounds so sad when such a kind spirited man has left our physical presence. Thankfully he will always be in our hearts and on our minds.  I loved that guy sincerely. He always treated me with respect and kindness when I first came to Thorsby. He will be missed.
