Preceded in death by her husband, Corbin S. Peoples, parents, Herbert and Rose Trousdale, brothers, Ray C. Trousdale, Robert Earl Trousdale and C. Wayne Trousdale.
Christine retired from Shaw Warehouse after being employed for more than 40 years as an account rep. She was a member of Low Gap United Methodist Church in Odenville and will be laid to rest in the Church cemetery next to the love of her life, Corbin. Christine had a life-long love of dancing and even though recent health often interfered with this pleasure, she still enjoyed the music and socializing with her many friends. All who knew her considered her a true “fashionista” who was always impeccably dressed in the latest styles. She loved vacationing with her family, particularly in Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. She learned to love the sport of football from her late husband and became a lifetime avid Alabama fan. Her daughters and their families have many treasured memories of their precious mother.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina P. Ash (Chuck), Mitzi P. Martin (Dale), her devoted and loving sister, Linda T. Bollinger, special sisters-in-law, Shirley Davis and Alice Trousdale, close friends, Faye Ross, Betty Deese and Ann Jackson, grandchildren, Leighanne Riner (Clint), Grant Kerr (Kellie), Mahaley Mann (Travis), Christine Helms (Eric), great grandchildren, Garrison and Griffin Riner, Kaylee Tortorice, Kathryn Mann, Colt Helms, Kendall Kerr and baby Mann due in April.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Low Gap United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Low Gap United Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Peoples will lie in state from 10:00 AM until Service Time at the Church on Wednesday.
