Billy Ray Hitt

Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Jane Hitt and brother, Robert Joe Hitt. He attended Coosa Valley Baptist Church in Cropwell.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Knowles Hitt, daughters, Judy (Tommy) Williams, Kathy (Randy) McGaha, Janice (Rickey) Towery, step-children, Ed (Trish) Schultz, Tammy (Pete) Waters, Patty (Rick) Layfield, Pam (Tony) Butler, Freddie (Tina) Isbell, Donald (Teresa) Isbell, grandchildren, Chris (Leslie) Williams, Michael Williams, Ken McGaha, Brian Towery, Brittney Towery, 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hanna, Austin, Natalie, Aubree, several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, sisters, Helen New and Syble (Arlis) Fortner.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 2PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
