Carolyn Crumpton

Carolyn was born on November 30, 1941 in Cullman, Alabama, to Verbon Stricklin and Hazel (Calvert) Stricklin. She was a graduate of Ensley High School and worked in the grocery brokerage business. She was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church in Moody, Alabama, where she had loved teaching children about Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Verbon Stricklin and Hazel Stricklin Case, her step father James Case, brothers, Randall Stricklin and Lynn Stricklin. Carolyn is also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 41 years, Richard Crumpton.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Nelson (Allen); grandchildren, Hannah, Hope, and Hayden; sister, Roselyn Harlan; brothers, Jim Case (Jan) and Lane Stricklin (Judy), sisters in law, JoLyn Stricklin and Betty Jo Stricklin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, Moody, Alabama, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 beginning at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
