Columbus Falkner, Jr. “June” age 96, was born January 6, 1923, and passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019. To family and close friends, he was known as “June” because he was a junior. After precious grandchildren arrived, he became our sweet “Daddy June”.

June trained as a Bombardier in a B-29 bomber with the Army Air Corp and served our great country to the end of WWII in November of 1945. After his service was over, he became a master plumber in Birmingham, Alabama, his birthplace. He was in business with his brother. After many years of hard, manual labor, June retired. He and Joy moved to Lake Martin in Alabama, where they built a lovely home. Lake Martin was a very special place to them as they had previously owned a week end cabin there for many years.
