Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his son, Robert Gary Blankenship; parents, Gus and Lelia Blankenship and brother, Terry Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lou Blankenship; daughter, Vickie Blankenship; brother, Lawrence Blankenship; grandchildren, Samantha (Joshua), Bobby (Brittini), James (Heather), Chad, Chase, John (Tara) and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 6PM until 8PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be at 2PM on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Low Gap United Methodist Church with burial at Low Gap Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship will Lie In State at the Church on Monday from 1PM until Service Time.
