Mr. Reese worked at the Birmingham News and Empire Pipe Company, Alton Road, Birmingham, AL. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leeds, he served in the U. S. Air Force for 4 years and a part time worker for Barber Motor Sports.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James B. Reese Sr.; mother, Jennie B. Reese; and sisters: Mable Furgeson, & Iris Thrash.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Reese, son, Stephen Brent Reese (Leigh Ann), sister, Vivian Knox, grandchildren, Virginia Grace Reese and Robbin Elizabeth Reese.
Funeral Service will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM. at the 1st. Baptist Church of Leeds with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends Friday, from 10:00 AM. until the service time.
