Janet White

For 38 years, Janet taught kindergarten at Leeds Elementary School, where she touched countless young lives. Her passion for children and her gentle spirit shaped generations of students and left a lasting impact on her community.

Janet was the rock of her family—steady, selfless, and always present. Her legacy of love, service, and compassion will live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Davis and Katie White-Grund (Chris) ; her sister, Linda Dover Hess; her niece, Sandy (Jared); and her great nephew, Fisher. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler (Skylar), Landon (Ceci), Grayson (Savannah), Logan , Camden and Jaxon ; and her great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Dallas and Oaklynn and baby Westbrook on the way

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Alexander White; her son-in-law, Jimmy Allen Davis; her great-grandchild, Rose Anne; and her parents, Ernest and Marcella Dover.

Janet will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her gentle heart, her dedication to children, and the love she gave so freely.

A Visitation will be held on Monday January 5, 2026 from 1:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
