He was born in Ashville, AL on March 24, 1940. He was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester H. and Peggy B. Cash; his first wife Jessie H. Cash, and second wife Margie V. Cash.
He leaves behind his daughter, Jackie Harless (Ed) and grandson, Daniel;
His step-children, Phillip Vickrey, and Tim (Valerie) and their children, Haley (Mason), Seth, Noah, and Gaven; sister, Sharon Holladay (Ferrell); and brother Mark Cash (Renee); several nieces and nephews and all of the children that he guided through life at the Boys and Girls Ranches.
Marvin dedicated his heart and soul for 38 years to the Alabama Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranches, building better lives for countless boys and girls. “Pop Cash’s” true impact may never be truly known.
He was extremely generous with his time and efforts and always helped anyone along the way that needed help.
Marvin was a child of God. He was a deacon of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved hunting, wood working, and farming, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 11AM to 1PM with a funeral service to follow at 1PM. Graveside will be held at Branchville Cemetery in Odenville, AL.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama.
