Alexander, Ray, age 82, of Lincoln, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Ray was the ultimate sporting man. His loves included Alabama football, trips to Las Vegas to satisfy his passion for shooting dice and above all his gamefowl. His favorite games were the Bama vs. Tennessee games. Especially at Tennessee where he enjoyed the fall weather, the Tennessee River, and some of his best friends companionship. His gamefowl were known as “ The Winningest Fowl in the World.” His worldwide popularity reached cult status among his many fans in the United States, Mexico, and especially in his beloved Philippines. When he entered the famous Araneta Coliseum in Manila, it was like Moses parting the Red Sea with his adoring fans requesting pictures and autographs. Ray took time with each of them, getting to know them, and finishing with his famous line: “ If there’s anything I can help you with, let me know.”
Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Alexander.
He is survived by his daughters, Rayandra Seville (Nate) and Leighanne Alexander; sons, Harold Ray Alexander and Andy Hayes (Deraye); sister, Theresa Myers; brother, Tommy Joe Alexander; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
