He is survived by his son, James Lucas Taylor, daughters, Jacqualine Rhodes (David), and Christy Lopp (George), brothers, Jerry Davis Taylor and James Douglas Taylor, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Taylor was an Eagle Scout with a Bronze Palm and then served his country from 1956-1959 in the National Guard and also from 1959-1963 in the United States Marine Corp. After time in the service, Mr. Taylor served 30 years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal in the Pell City School System. Memorial Service will be Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Chapel.
