Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Phillips and Lillian Phillips; brother, Thermon Phillips. He served 22 years with the Birmingham Police Department plus 33 years in the Military. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the American Legion Post 107.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Phillips; sons, William Edward “Eddie” Phillips Jr. (Helen), Michael Wayne Phillips; daughter, Sharon Phillips Hoover (Keith); sister, Juanita Serio; grandchildren, Kevin Phillips, Savannah and Kaitlyn Hoover.
The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1PM with Funeral Services to be held at 2PM from Kilgroe Leeds Chapel and burial at Forest Crest Cemetery.
