Robert William Davis Jr.

Davis – Robert W. Davis Jr. “Bobby” 62 of Fort Polk, Louisiana passed away Oct. 5, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Louisiana. He was the husband of Eva (Cole) Davis to whom he married on March 23, 1972. Bobby was born in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of the late Robert Davis, Sr. and the late Faye (Barkley-Davis-Loushe). Survived by step-father Donald Loushe of Johnstown, PA., and preceded in death by his late in-laws Bill and Amelia Cole, also by his late grandfather, Stanley Barkley and wife Gertrude. He was raised in Johnstown, PA and later moved to Louisiana. He was a Vietnam Vet and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed Nascar, football and drag racing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs, Baby, Spot and the late Duchess. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Chris (Melissa) of California and Eric of Louisiana. 2 daughters Bobbie Lynn with whom he resided in Fort Polk, Louisiana and Stacy (Todd) of Johnstown, PA., 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Alexis, Shawn, Zachary, Shane, Tyler, Trent, Mark, Lukas, Lauren and Alex. Great – granddaughter Kya, 2 sisters Vicki Layton and the late Rusty Layton, Rob Warner Fiancée of Vicki Layton of Dallastown, PA and Marla Knisely (Bob) of Johnstown, PA, brother Dennis Davis of Somerset, PA brother – in – laws Bill Cole, Larry (Tammy) and John (Sookie) all of Johnstown, PA. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a private viewing at Hixson Funeral Home also in charge of arrangements.
