Henry M Garner

Henry Martin Garner 93, of Lehigh Acres formerly of New York City died peacefully on December 26, 2011. He was born on December 7, 1918 in Barbados. He immigrated to New York City in 1953. He was a veteran of the Royal Air Force. He was Past Master of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. He was a founding member and Past President of the Carribean-American Social Club of Lehigh Acres. He was a Master Gardener with the University of Florida agriculture extension program. He was predeceased by his parents Robert & Martha Garner, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are his wife of 70 years Enid; his children Lucille, Esther, Anita, Victor, and Grace; his grandchildren Michele(Dwayne) Rouse, Reginald and Michael Belgrave, Thomas and Evette Pinder and Kristina Garner; numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will recieve friends on Wednesday January 4, 2012 from 10 to 11am at Christ United Methodist Church 1430 Homestead Blvd. North Lehigh Acres. Funeral service will follow at 11am. Entombment will be at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Christ United Methodist Chancel Choir.
