

Frederick John Hopkins was born in Littleton, New Hampshire to John and Annie Hopkins and passed away just three days shy of his 90th birthday. Fred served in the US Army during WWII. He and his wife moved to San Diego County in 1956. Fred worked in the aerospace industry for 31 years for Rohr Aircraft as a Follow-Up Dispatcher.
Fred and Yvette were long time parishioners at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lemon Grove, California where she was a teacher at St. John's School and he devoted much of his time as an active volunteer in activities and organizations. Fred was Head Usher at Church Services and Masses and was an member in the Knights of Columbus. Fred, along with his wife Yvette, were very involved with The Legion of Mary, Rosaries for Peace and many other organizations at their church.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Yvette, just 38 days ago on April 11, 2012. He is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law Raymond and Violet Hopkins of Littleton, New Hampshire, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
Recitation of the Rosary will be on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., both Services at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 8086 Broadway - Lemon Grove, CA 91945. Entombment will follow, where he will be laid to rest with his wife Yvette at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in San Diego, California.
Donations are suggested In Memory of the Hopkins be given to The Legion of Mary, c/o St. John of the Cross Catholic
Church in Lemon Grove. They will be deeply missed by their family and all of their friends at their church.

Eternal rest grant unto Frederick, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
