Gota A. Hatter

She immigrated with her husband, Alf and their three children in 1949. They moved to San Diego, Ca. where Gota and Alf opened up the Grove Pastry Shop in Lemon Grove in 1955. Gota worked in the bakery until her retirement in 1982.

Her Swedish heritage was very important to her and she was an active long-time member of the House of Sweden in Balboa Park. She was also involved with the Wasa Club in San Diego and the Scandinavian Lodge.

Gota is survived by daughters, Barbara Schreiber, Ethelyn Tucker and son Lennart Ohlund; grandchildren Bonnie Burt, Rick Schreiber, Laramie Ohlund and four great grandchildren.

Our mother was a loving and giving part of our lives. She cherished her family and many friends. We will miss her strong and vibrant love of life.
