Greg was born February 1, 1952 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Frederick P. and Marie S. Long and passed away on January 4, 2013 in La Mesa, California. With the exception of his first three years, Greg spent his entire life in the San Diego area with the last 32 years residing in Lemon Grove, California. Greg worked for the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District for over 22 years before retiring in 1999.
He loved both animals and children. He was an excellent uncle to his two nieces Jessica and Ashley. Greg loved the San Diego Zoo, where he spent countless hours walking the paths with his best friend Ralph.
Greg will be missed by both his family and friends.
