He is survived by his wife of 52 years and his son Matthew, as well as two sisters, Joann Creitz and Alice Wall.
Jim knew Jesus and was grounded in his Christian faith. He was devoted to his family who shared his love of fishing and sports, especially the Kansas Jayhawks and San Diego Chargers.
The family wishes to express its deep appreciation for all the excellent care Jim received during his long struggle with heart disease and the ensuing diabetes and all its complications. Their warm and caring treatment will long be remembered.
