Alex was born on October 14, 1976 to Alex Dwayne Stilwell Sr. and Judy Hartley.
Alex graduated from Hibriten High in 1994 and entered the furniture field. Alex was employed at Fairfield Chair as an upholstery, a field he excelled at for 26 years.
Alex had several loves; his wife Kelly, & his daughter Allie, Chevy’s, and a good joke. He was happiest at the ballfield watching his daughter play. He enjoyed working on cars or just hanging out with his dad. Alex was generous and loving and was always available to help friends or family members in need.
A funeral service to honor Mr. Alex Dwayne Stilwell Jr. will be held at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Gamewell on November 4, 2020 at 1:00PM with Pastor Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service.
Alex is survived by his wife Kelly and daughter Allie of the home. His mother Judy Hartley of Lenoir. His father and step mother, Alex and Jamie Stilwell of Claremont. His sisters, Amanda Stilwell of Lenoir and Lisa Stilwell of Claremont. Brother, John Stilwell of Claremont. His mother-in-law, Pam Scott; brother-in-law Eric and Lauren Scott. Nieces; Norah, Julia, Hattie, Emily Scott, Ohndrea Stilwell and Amilyn Schell; nephews, Darien Alston, Jonah and Hendrix Stilwell.
Also left to cherish are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bill and Kate Stilwell and maternal grandparents Fred and Gail Hartley and Father-in-law Wayne Scott.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Allie's College Fund, 3033 Clarks Chapel Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
