Barbara Ann Curtis went home to be with her Savior at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care December 5, 2016. She was born 77 years earlier in Watagua County to the late Bine and Octavia Carlton. On June 28, 1958, Barbara married the love of her life Gene Curtis of Lenoir. She was the mother of one daughter Vickie & Gary Gunter of Lenoir and one grandson, Timothy Curtis also of Lenoir. She is survived by one brother, Bill & Annett Carlton and two sisters, Bobby Jean & Clyde King and Linda Carlton, all of Lenoir. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Carlton, of Deep Gap. There will be graveside services Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family Barbara Carlton Curtis.
