Billy Joe McLean

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by one grand daughter Misty Canterbury, his brother Loyd Ray McLean, sisters Betty Ellen McLean, Margaret McLean, Mildred McLean, and Ruby McLean.

Mr. McLean is survived by his son Paul Mclean (wife Anna), daughter Linda McLean. Grandchildren Melissa Jones, and Tasha Grindstaff. Great grandchildren, Brooke Bivens, Malorie Smith, Kylie Jones, Jeran Jones, Aubrey Grindstaff, Chase Grindstaff, and one Great-Great Grandchild Sawyer Gouge, along with a number of nephews and nieces. Bill also leaves behind his beloved sister Barbara Tolbert. Also left to remember Bill's love is "Molly", Bill's pet dog and a special pet crow "Judy", which would eat right from his hand.

Bill worked for many years at C.C.C Corp Building roads in the NC Mountains. He served in the U.S Army and later retired from the Army and was a supervisor at Holiday Hosiery. He retired at his mountain home for many years, where he loved fishing, hunting, mowing, going to church, and gardening. Just the average mountain man, that loved his friends and family.

The McLean family will receive friends Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Pendry's Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service for Bill will be held at Pendry's Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 3:00 pm with the Pastor Glenn Ward officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 1545 Orchard Dr, Lenoir, NC.
