In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Greene and sister Virginia Icenhour, his granddaughter Kristie Moore, and his great-great-grandson Creek Hart.
Left to cherish Bobby's memory are his wife of 64 years Nancy "Cookie" Ilene Greene, his sons Barry Greene (wife Lisa) and Gregory Greene (wife Teresa), five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, his sister Peggy Mikael (husband Tommy), and his brother Joseph Worth Greene.
Bobby retired from Akzo/Nobel as an Account Manager. He was a faithful member of Living Hope Church. He will be remembered for his love of the Tarheels, singing by the campfire, and being a fan of Dale Earnhardt.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Living Hope Church, 1890 Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, NC, officiated by Pastor Keith and Pastor Gray.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. Pallbearers will be Chad Greene, Josh Greene, Joey Greene, Maddox Hart, Mark Icenhour, and Billy Phillips.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
