Mr. Charles Propst

Mr. Propst was born in Caldwell County on September 25, 1961 to the late Joseph Patterson and Marjorie Propst Patterson of Elkin, NC. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Propst.

Charles worked for MDI in Hickory, NC for thirty years as a lead person.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife, Reita Connelly Propst, of the home; one son, Charles Mandrell Propst, also of the home; five brothers, Lewis Propst of Winston Salem, NC and Ricky Propst of Elkin, NC, Dean, Tony and LaMont Patterson, all of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Carolyn Propst of Winston Salem, NC and Melody P. Hayes of Elkin, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Homegoing services for Mr. Propst will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church of Lenoir, NC with The Reverend Alvin Brown and The Reverend Alvin Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Harpertown Cemetery in Lenoir, NC.
