

He was born to the late Cecil Raymond Holden and Mildred Dorothy Price Holden Fox on April 15, 1949 in Caldwell County. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Holden and a daughter, Susan Gail Holden.
Mr. Holden leaves behind his loving wife, Laura G. Holden; step-son, Jason Parsons and wife Maria of Conover; brothers, Tom Holden of Lenoir and Bill Fox of Shelby; grandchildren, Jordan Parsons, A.J. Bryant, Tyler Holden, Amanda Holden, Jacob Holden, Tristan Holden, Jayden Parsons, Jasmine Parsons, and Aoike Parsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Holden was a member of Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church on Connelly Springs Road. He faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force. His love and appreciation for music ran deep and he played several instruments, including the guitar, mandolin, and piano. He enjoyed working in his garage and was truly a jack-of-all-trades. Mr. Holden loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He was an all-around good Christian man who loved the Lord and his Queen Bee.
A graveside service will be held at Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church on Connelly Springs Road on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m with Rev. Doug Woody officiating.
