Dennis Eugene Kidd

Mr. Kidd was born in Caldwell County to the late Jiles Wilson Kidd and Elsie Pope Nelson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Della Rea Wagoner Kidd; sons, Dennis Ray and Jimmy Terrance Kidd; his step-father Jim Nelson; brothers, Arnold, Ray and Garry Kidd and Michael Nelson; sister, Rose Kidd McCrary. He was retired from the furniture industry and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Ernest Kidd and wife Ruth of Lenoir, Victor Kidd and wife Kathy of Hudson, Elaine Cochran and husband Morgan of Lenoir, David Kidd of Lenoir and Teresa Pritchard and husband Douglas of Lenoir; brothers, J. B. Kidd and wife Dannie of Lenoir, Douglas Kidd and wife Kathy of Hickory; sisters, Debbie Price and husband Doug of Lenoir, Elizabeth Keller and husband Mike of Granite Falls; sisters-in-law Ercell Kidd, Judy Kidd and Vickie Nelson all of Lenoir; sixteen grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Jim Ward speaking. Burial will follow the service at Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mr. Kidd.
