Mr. Cantor was born January 15, 1946 in Caldwell County to the late Vern Cantor and Alma McMillon Canton.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Darlene Cantor, granddaughter; Victoria Diane Wilcox, a grandson; Marcus LaVon Hackett, sisters; Juanita Smith and Mable Lane.
Doug was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, He worked for many years at Thomasville Furniture and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie Shatley of the home, daughter, Christine Cantor Cline and husband Donnie of Lenoir and a brother, Vern Cantor Jr.
Also left to cherish his memory is a granddaughter, Leslie Danielle Blevins.
A funeral Service to honor Mr. Cantor will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reeves officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 6:000 pm until 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
