He was born in Buncombe County on March 8, 1953, to the late Eugene Morman and Ruthelle Howard Morman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Loretta M. Johnson, Shirley M. Best and Elease M. Feimster; two brothers, William Watkins and Johnnie Morman.
He was a graduate of Western Carolina University. He was employed by Valdese Weavers. His enjoyments were gardening, reading, and he had a love for golf.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sylvia Banner Morman; daughter, Andria Morman Carlton (husband Aubree); sons, Garon Morman (wife Ebony), Brandon Banner (wife Willayna) and grandsons, Brendan Banner and Aubree Carlton, Jr.; Brothers, Ellsworth Morman (wife Darlene), Robert Morman; Richard Morman; sisters, Louise M. Smith, Ruthell M. Taylor, Sheena M. Smith, Colis M. Muchemu and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for one hour on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
A private graveside service to honor Mr. Morman will be held on September 25, 2020 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
