JB Greene

He was born February 11, 1936 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Bealer Greene and Susie Shoemake Greene. Mr. Greene was a veteran of the United States Army and then went on to work in Maintanence at Broyhill Furniture until his retirement, after 40+ years of service. He was a member of Mulvale Baptist Church and was proud to be a longtime member of the NRA. Mr. Greene enjoyed beekeeping and was a very active member of the Caldwell County Beekeepers Association, where he was looked up to as a mentor. He was the kind of man people came to for advice and wisdom.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Faye Anderson Greene; one sister, Toye B. Greene Philyaw; and two brothers, Ward B. Greene and Dwight Greene.

Surviving Mr. Greene are two daughters, Esther Greene Osborne and husband, Joseph of Collettesville, NC and Joyce Carol Greene Woodlief and husband, Marty of Wake Forest, NC; one granddaughter, Monica Nicole Woodlief of Wake Forest, NC.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Mulvale Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Greene Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mulvale Baptist Church, 3951 Collettesville Rd., Lenoir, NC 28645. The family respectfully request that no food be provided.
