Johnsie Eletha Curtis Nelson, age 93 of Burke County passed away, on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Autumn Care in Morganton. Born Friday, May 24, 1929 to the late Johnsie Lula Clark and James Thomas Curtis in Macon County NC.
An addition to her parents she is proceeded in death by her late husband Dock Wilson Nelson and one daughter Barbara Kalogiros.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter Betty Turner and son William Childress along with a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Johnsie, will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.
The Nelson family will hold a Grave Side Service on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm - at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, 2017 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC.
