Judy Catherine Helton

Judy Catherine Helton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 25, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC.

Judy was born on September 2, 1955 in Zebulon, NC to the late Earl Caldwell Helton and Mary Fuller Helton. Judy was born with cerebral palsy and has been a resident at O’Berry Center in Goldsboro, NC since July 5, 1967. She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents Herman and Algie Fuller, Charlie and Amanda Helton.

Judy is survived by her mother, Mary Fuller Helton of Lenoir, NC; two brothers, Jerry Helton and spouse Debra of Summerfield, FL, and Robert Helton and spouse Lori of Sawmills, NC; two sisters, Rebecca Greer and husband David of Granite Falls, NC, and Patricia Leija of Lenoir, NC. She is also survived by 5 nieces, 8 nephews, 9 great nieces and 10 great nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Stuart White and Reverend John Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Greer, Jonathan Greer, Brandon Waters, Joshua Waters, David Greer and Austin McCarty.
